Testicular cancer is a type of cancer that originates in one or both testicles, which are part of the male reproductive system. It can affect men of any age but is most common between ages 15 and 49. The main symptoms include lumps or swelling in the scrotum, pain or discomfort in the testicle area, enlarged or tender breasts (gynecomastia), changes in the way urine comes out, and a feeling of heaviness in the scrotum. Testicular cancer is usually treatable with surgery to remove the affected testicle(s) followed by chemotherapy if necessary. Early detection through self-examination or screening can significantly improve treatment outcomes and survival rates.
